savage accutrigger
What is everyone's thoughts on the accutrigger? does it feel like you are pulling two triggers? or do you not really notice pulling the safety trigger back before getting to the actual trigger?

RE: savage accutrigger
Savage accutrigger.....two thumbs up
It's the best thing to come from Savage since the Model 99 |
RE: savage accutrigger
I think it is the best customer adjustable trigger out there. It will really suprise you how much you will like it.

RE: savage accutrigger
I've no first hand experience...but have only heard good things about them. (as far as factory triggers go)

RE: savage accutrigger
I've got two (a 22/250 and a MLII) and I LOVE it. I don't even have them turned all the way down, they are each on about 3#s. It is a very simple yet SAFE system that I would like to see licensed too other builders. I suppose after the patent expires in what about 20 years, maybe other builders will builda copy? :D
LOVE IT, RA |
RE: savage accutrigger
Honestly - first few shots didn't like it! Why,just different. However onceI got use to it myfeelings have changed! (which didn't take long like second group;)). Ilike it and I'd be hard pressed to buy a new savage without the AT.

RE: savage accutrigger
Hey Marine stud. I don't really know anything about the safety trigger or feeling like you are pulling 2 triggers. This is the first I have heard about it. My 110 came set from the factory and it is the finest trigger I use save a taget 22 I use. It is a great thing and makes the savage 110 a nearly perfect rifle

RE: savage accutrigger
I thought it was the biggest joke out there. That is until I actually tried one. They aren't what I'd want on a target rifle, but for a hunting trigger they work great. Very easy to adjust and perfectly safe.

RE: savage accutrigger
Ive shot a rifle with one a few times, im not crazy about it, but it would probaly just take a little time to warm up to it.

RE: savage accutrigger
ORIGINAL: cma3366a I adjusted it all the way down, and it still was 3.5 lbs. (Of course the reality is, all that would need to be done is shorting the tension spring slightly) The accutrigger on my Savage 10ml settles at around 2-3/4 on the low end without any modifications whatsoever. This is right in line with the advertised approximate value. From Savage's website... "In centerfire hunting models, muzzleloaders, the Model 40 Varmint Hunter, and most rimfire models, the AccuTriggerâ„¢ is adjustable from approximately 2 1/2 to 6 lbs. In the 12 Series Varmint and Law Enforcement Series, the AccuTrigger is adjustable from approximately 1 1/2 lbs to 6 lbs." |

RE: savage accutrigger
Very accurate rifles with the trigger. Sighted a 30-06 in the other day for a friend and got MOA with it. I just might buy one of them for Coues hunting in a 270. The trigger is not hard to get used to.

RE: savage accutrigger
I have 5 accutrigger savage rifles. They ROCK. I have 2 17 hmrs, 2 22.250's, and a .300 wsm and they all shoot 1/4'' to 1/2'' groups at 100 yds!! No, the trigger doesn't feel like you are pulling two.

RE: savage accutrigger
Just bought my first Savage with AT -10II Muzzleloader. The set, first stage, whatever you want to call it to engage the trigger is different but their is little doubt it breaks very clean and effortlessly. I believe it maybe one of those devices that either you love or hate. I know when comparing the non AT vs AT in the same rifle their was little doubt which one I would leave with. In this particular case the safety mech is also much easier to operate on the AT vs pre AT model.
I hear some don't adjust as low as others but OEM lighter springs can be installed to lighten if desired on hunting CF. Mine breaks clean at the bottom 2 3/4lbs - just under 6lbs at the top. I have set mine at 3lbs for the time being. |
