RE: muzzle brake ?
Nothing against Fox River . . . . but either learn to take the recoil or get one of the Lead Sled rests. Muzzle brakes are more trouble than they're worth.

RE: muzzle brake ?
Ditto!
If you need a brake then you are shooting too much gun. It looks like just about every other brake out there. I am sure it will do a good job at reducing recoil and a super job at making huge ammounts of noise and muzzle blast. |
RE: muzzle brake ?
I actually won a Fox River muzzle brake job at an NRA Banquet and had it installed on a Rem. 700 30/06 (gun was light and kicked) it works very well but the noise from the muzzle is very loud. When you are at the range nobody will want to be on either side of you that's for sure ( which can be nice).

RE: muzzle brake ?
Muzzlebreaks do permanent damage to hearing. It is cumulative and irreversible. Been there and have the damaged hearing to prove it. Unless you are prepared to hunt with protective devices of some type then do your hearing a favour and step down a notch. I traded my .338 for a 7mm and so far moose , caribou bears etc have shown no preference in how they hit the deck.
