Llama .45 good little gun for the money ($250-300). Buddy of myne got one and has held up well not as good as my Kimber/Springfield but it gets the job done.

ORIGINAL: 260rem

Treat yourself to a Desert Eagle in 50AE not much it won’t stop at close range, the first time I used one it took a week to get the smile off my face.

I believe the guy that posted this subject is on a limited budget, so the magnum research guns, even in the .50 cal range, are way too expensive. On the other hadn, I second the ruger ideas. If you plan to bear hunt with a bow, you don't want a bullet to deflect of the bears hide, skull or whatever and them have you for a brunch special.....!!!!!! The .40 caliber family is what you want, either revolver or auto. The high you can afford, the better, and the caliber selection would be great too for a home defense gun....

A ruger vaquero in 45lc would work great as a backup pistol, But i wouldn't recomend it for actual hunting. They can run between $300-$500.

I would find a good, clean, usedGlock 22 in 40 caliber.
