new remingtons
My gun dealer told me that remington is going to chamber the 7600 in both the .358 win and .35 whelen next year. Hopefully they don't drop them too fast since they don't say magnum anywhere.

Id have to think that 358 in a 7600 would be a wet dream to hunt with.

I second doedumper. I thought I was done buying rifles but a 7600 in 358, hmmmmmm. I wonder if they will bring it out in a carbine model?

RE: new remingtons
Maybe they'll chamber for the new Federal .338. That would be a nice handy rifle.

RE: new remingtons
It has been available in 35 rem and 35 whelen for years in limited production in both plastic and wood stocks. If they would make the 7400 in 35 whelen I would be first in line.

RE: new remingtons
mossy, ya know I've seen the M16, andM4 in the Desert's of Iraq, Afganastan, and the town of Mogadishu and the same is said. But if you maintain the thing the right way which may not be how the manufacture recomends or the Military,it works, same with the 7400. Clean the bore with Sweets 7.62, clean the bolt and action with Hoppes and blast all with brake cleaner and let dry. Lightlylube the area's that Need lube with Mil-Comm grease. The biggest mistake made with the 7400 is people clean the barrel with the bolt locked back and it gets solvent and crud in the action. Solvent gels after some time and collects more crud, and eventually will hang up the bolt or some other failure.
