.35 cal rifles knock game down harder than any ballistics table will ever show. Up to about 250 yds they shoot as flat as most conventional deer rounds and probably 75% of all deer are taken inside of 100 yds if truth be told so they are a natural fit for deer hunting, especially in the east. I mostly use my .350 rem mag these days and it puts game from deer to moose on its nose right where they stand. High velocity magnum freaks don't understand but when you see game just crumble from these .35 cals you'll understand. As for the pumpgun its accurate and reliable, plain and simple.

Well the 35 whelen is only about100 fps less than 300 win mag with a 200 grain bullet with a much greater daimeter. It's 100 fps faster than 358 and 350 rem mag, if you can find a better 100 yard round besides the 45-70 you need to tell the world about it.
