RE: .22 hornet
Its a great little cartridge and was popular many years ago.Its not in the same realm as the 223 or 22-250,but if one reloads it can be quite a surprizing cartridge. I have killed one wild pig,and one deer with mine. Its not my first choice for hunting bigger game though. Just had a good bullet placement and oppurtunity to do so on both. They are fun,vangunsmith:)

I have two of them also on Cadet Martini actions,and have a lot of fun with them. Never had problems loading them though. I,ll have to ask bigcountry what problem he had. vangunsmith

I have a 77/22 Hornet. It is very accurate. It did take me awhile to sift through the various loads and find one that works well. I finally setttled on a 45 grain Sierra hornet bullet, 13 grains of IMR 4227 and a small pistol primer.
