While most folks wouldnt do it, I decided to put a Zeiss Conquest 6.5x20x50 on one of my 17's. It works very well for me with the side focus and target knobs. Adjustments can be quickly made for different distances and it didnt take me long to learn where they need to be for the longer ranges. I do know that the little 17 starts dropping like a rock at 150 yards. I have always been a beleiver in you cant hit what you cant see and with the higher magnification and quality that the Zeiss delivers it gives you an edge. This scope is excellent but does run more than most.

I strongly reccommend the BSA sweet 17 3-12x40. It is as clear if not clearer than my Leupold and it shoots beautifully on my savage 17 hmr.

I think if your BSA sweet 17 looks as good as your leupold you should send it back or have your eyes checked. I have not seen a sweet 17 yet that was remotely close to a leupold in build or optics quality. As a matter of fact the ones I looked at were about on par with a 50 dollar bushnell, maybe.

Just my opinion though.

Tasco World Class, It has an AO down to 10 yards, 4X12X40, and a lifetime warranty, I have sold a bunch of them and not a problem yet with any, matter of fact I have several in the case now, new in the box,if you are interested let me know by e-mail or PM,69 bucks plus shipping.

Also if you are going with a scope with an AO you may have to go to a high set of rings, depending on the gunyou are mounting it on.

I was skepticalabout the Simmons Whitetail Classic on my 204 ruger. I now have over 4,000 rounds through it, with no problems. At $100, you can't beat it!
