Thinking of buying an AWR in 7 mag. Anybody got one. What do you think of the custom shop rifles?

I have a model 7 custom KS in .350 mag. It has an excellent trigger and shoots under 3/4" with a couple of heavy hunting loads. Its rapidly becomming my goto whitetail rifle. Shot a nice 7 pointer with it last week. The AWR should be a very good rifle but you should also check out Sako Finnlites ( got one of them in 7mm RM ).

TO TERRYM--I'm considering getting a finnlight in 300WSM do you think the recoil will be less or more than my 300 ultramag?

I have never fired a .300 ultra but have fired the .300 win mags. My Finnlite in 7mm rem mag is a very comfortable rifle to shoot. I think the .300 WSM would be fabulous in the Finnlite. You realise that they now have an action designed specifically for the short mags. The Finnlite will weigh about 7 1/4 lbs naked so it still has some weight. Go for it, it will become your goto rifle for everything.

you're kidding right??? I mean there is NO comparison between the two. A 300WSM is a domestic house cat compared to the roar of the Ultra. :D:D:D
