Ok I use a .222 with a scope when i hunt in the field.
I use a 30-30 (no scope) in the woods.
I am thinking on using my 20 gauge over under with a .22mag on top.
what kind of ammo should I use? i have a ton of #6 and a few slugs, would buck shot be good?

and I have an autoloader 12 gauge, same delema what ammo?
and what gun? what would you recoment.
(I hunt in both woods and fields)

Any of those guns could work. If you can hit them they will kill them. #6 shot shot I personally wouldn't use. If you can get them in close enough buckshot will definielty put them down.

I use a 22 mag to shoot coyotes with and I only shoot Winchester Supreme jacketed hollow points through it.

Sounds like you have a lot of options.
