Both parents are excellent hunters, honestly the female is hands down the best hunter I have ever owned and very willing to please, both have astounded me on more than on occasion with difficult retrieves.They duck (I have seen her dive after ducks) and upland hunt (excellent in thick cover) and do point as well.
