RE: a picture tells the story
Brought a tear to my eyes and sure was a hard one to swallow.

RE: a picture tells the story
It sure does raise a lot of different emotions ~ like why do those other people sit on their cans? I' ll betcha' they stand and cheer when the cartoon characters in the parade come by... [:@]
It reminds me of when, after a few months of flag-waving because of the 911 terrorist attack, some people wanted others to quit waving the flag so much. " It' s time to put them away" , they said. In my opinion, the flag is never shown the respect that it deserves enough. Don' t EVEN get me started... |
RE: a picture tells the story
This is an awsome picture of glory, loyalty, respect and last but not least...what is wrong with OUR country! Our forefathers helped bring us these lands to farm, build upon and hunt. WE ALL NEED TO SUPPORT OUR COUNTRY IN A PATRIOTIC WAY. What is wrong with the younger generations?

RE: a picture tells the story
it seems the people watching the parade has forgotten what the word " veteran" means. this is disrespectful of the crowd not to stand, especially after the veteran stood alone.--a picture really does tell a story--we rally for our troops overseas now , but what about the ones who have given so much long ago? i think we have some how forgotten them at times. how has this happened?

RE: a picture tells the story
Great picture. It sure put a lump in my throat. And it does go to show what is one problem in our society. Everyone is ready to jump on the bandwagon but who will stand up when the going gets tough!
