Default Daughters TN Youth Hunt

What a Great Day. My Daughter shot a great 8 point at 8:30 this morning. Saw 10 deer total. 8 does. A Big 10 pt that was out of range, and the 8 pt that she took at 120 yrds with a .223 T/C. Perfect lung shot and only 30 yrds down. She killed her first deer a spike last year at 6yrs old and today at 7yrs old an 8pt.

Wow that is awesome! If I ever have a daughter I hope I can get her into hunting like you did. Congrats to both of you!

I think you better check the caliber on that gun again. You must be mistaken, because what I've "read" about .223's and deer in the .223 For Deer Hunting post, .223's are not big enough to kill deer. LOL!

=============

Now that picture is the cutest thing! You've turned a potential vice-president of a bank, potential lawyer, teacher or bean-counter into a Hunting Celebrity destined to be the star of her own Outdoor Show!

Congratulations not only for her with her great shot and kill, but to you BassChamp for being fortunate enough to experience that with her! Good memories for sure!

Good times.

Oh come on. It is common knowledge that a .223 is not near big enough for deer. Especially an 8 pointer of all things. That is unless your a 7 year old girl.

what a cutie. I wish my dad had taken me hunting as a kid. Then I wouldn't be starting out a 33. My daughter is 3. I'm hoping to have her out in the field in a few years. I'll have only been hunting then for 3 or 4 years. We'll be learning together.
