No, it's public land owned by the conservation dept., but there is no hunting of any kind allowed with the exception of a couple of managed hunts every year that you have to be drawn for. There are some really big bucks in this place. I am quite hopeful. I have 5 days to get one.

Not much happening in my neck of the woods this weekend. Most of the deer up here have there winter coats and with temps in the 80's not much movement going on. Found a small patch of acorn loaded oaks. Had one small lone doe come in right before dark. Also, found a lot of bear sign on the property.

Found some good buck sign though. Couple big sets of tracks leading to some thigh sized rubs was encouaging.

Cooler weather is on the way...Can't wait!

Ughhh....I'm hoping to just get to hunt this weekend. I had all four wisdom teeth pulled this morning, and the bottom ones had to be cut out. I had back surgery four years ago that didn't seem to hurt this bad. I'm hoping they're better by Friday at the latest. I need to get my EAB out of the way.....lol Hey Browning, where do you hunt?? County or DMU?

Hey guys,

We need to change our logo a bit. THe Mods said it needs to be smaller(200x200). So here it is. You need to update your signatures with the new logo.
Replace the old path in the [img] tags with this: http://forum.hunting.net/asppg/upfil...p436323529.jpg

Hey Browning....I hunt in DMU's 54B and 70. Sauk county, I live just outside Wisconsin Dells. I noticed today that not only have all the apples fell off my red delicious tree in the back yard, but the deer have eaten every single one of them already.

Rattlesnake,

I also hunt in DMU 54c in Oxford. It's a small chunk of Private land(40acres) but is loaded with deer. I usually hunt there on my way to and from Wausau.
