RE: Official Team 5 (5) Thread
Hey, I hunt central WV from Oct 16-Dec 30. I've put in a lot of time, effort, money, and scouting this season so far. It's looking very promising and I hope to add to the team. :D
I hunt with a High Country Brute Force, set at 69lbs. I use Scorpion XP's on XX78's. Should be a awesome season, and I'm proud to be on the winning team. ;) |

Awesome! We're all checked in! Welcome to the team Highcountry! How's the deer hunting in WV? Our season opens Saturday but I won't be going. Gotta help move my uncle. It's usually too dang hot anyway.[:@]
PS: What about the rest of you guys? When do you all start hunting? |

HighCountry
Good to hear from you. Looks like we are set now and the hunt begins soon. Should be a great time, especially seeing how everyone's season unfolds for them. Lung Busters Are we going to do daily/weekly hunt reports?? Half the fun of the forums for me is to see how others hunt and what it is like to hunt in different areas that I will never be able to hunt myself. Since everyone is from different states it should make it really interesting. Tim |

TJF- I'll post weekly on how I'm doing. Our season starts in a little over two weeks here in Nebraska, on Sept. 15th. I've been out scouting around for the last few weeks now and have seen some pretty nice bucks, I would guess in the 100-120 range. I'm new at scoring and am not really that good at guessing sizes yet. I'm gonna start measuring up my buck from last year so that I have a baseline to start from. The bucks I've seen so far this year are at least as big as him, though, with a couple definitely bigger.
All of our deer still have their velvet on, so they better start shedding it pretty soon. I also have a few more places to hunt lined up for this year, but it's always a tough decision to go to them when I can walk right up behind my house and know I have a chance at a P&Y, albeit maybe on the low end. No matter where I hunt on a given day, I'm always second guessing myself on whether I should have hunted elsewhere. Sometimes that's the fun of hunting as well. |
RE: Official "Lung Busters" (5) Thread
I'm glad to see the post on Team 5's thread are slowing down. That must mean all of my team mates are out scouting the big bucks and finalizing their preparations. I guess I'll go and start writing my acceptance speech... Let's see, I would like to thank Rack Attack for shooting that dink... ;)

RE: Official "Lung Busters" (5) Thread
OK my logo is gone. I hosted it at Jesseshunting.com and they must have deleted it. I'll get it on photobucket. com when I get off work today. Sorry.
