Yeah I'm still working at Cabelas, but only 2-3 times a month now. I have another job that is 8-5, 5days a week. This way I can make some more money, but still have the weekends off to do whatever I want, like hunting! I enjoy working there occasionally and also like the discount. I am getting pumped to go hunting. I have been watching a lot of hunting videos lately. I think I am going to try it myself this year. I have 3 buddies that made it on Primetime 8 from last year, so I might give it a whirl for the 1st time this season.

I met one of the guys - talked to him in the store - and could not wait to watch the video - sweet buck - they were hunting a couple miles from our farm. We have shot quite a bit of video for turkeys - would have had an awesom video of my first turkey taken with a bow - but the wrong button got pushed[:@]. Have talked about taking it out for deer, but have not done that yet. - may have to this year, either try to rig up a tripod for mine (big old sony view cam) or get a newer smaller one (already have a stabilizer adapter that would work for that - ours it too big and just won't work).

I'm still trying to contact Big Country. He hasn't been around for a while, but we could sure use his buck for the contest.

OK guys, I am late...but I made it. Sorry about that, I have been busy as can be.

Hey, how exactly does this deal work? Can I enter a deer killed in a state other than my home state?

Guess I should just look up the contest rules.

Are you guys seeing any good ones?

I just got back from 4 days of scouting in Illinois......saw three bucks over 170"!

Glad to see you made it. You have to enter the 1st buck you shoot. Whether it was your home state or not. Feel free to enter one of those 170's you saw in ILL. I haven't seen any bruisers where we hunt but I did get a good tip this week from a non-hunter that has seen a big buck crossing the road where I happened to hang a stand this morning. I put my camera up on the trail and next weekend we'll see what he looks like, Hopefully.

First buck, regardless of state. OK, guess I will have to be careful what I do here in PA then.

I would normally shoot a buck here that I wouldn`t even waste my time filming in Illinois.

I am seing a few good bucks down at the farm this year though, maybe we could get around 140-150 points before I leave for Illinois.

One more thing Bob, I will be selling my 2004 XTEC immediately after our late season if you know anybody looking for a slightly used one. Left handed of course.

I thought you might mention that bow. I love the Razortec I got from you last year. I have a lefty who has been buying my used stuff. I'll let him know about yours. Let me know a price. Maybe next year I'll get another from you if your selling. I'm still taking a beating(from the misses) from last years bow. How do you like the Xtec compared to the Razortec?
Heh, we'll take a 140" buck as an entry for the contest. As long as it is big enough to cover my 90" buck.

Hey guys, does this mean we have a full team of ten, all of our original picks without and alternates???
We must be one of the only teams that don't need an alternate.
I guess when you have a winning team nobody is going to hold out!!!

Hey, we have as good a chance as anybody, I think!

We have some excellant whitetail states covered.

Bob, I have not thought about a price for the XTEC? Probably around what you got the RazorTec for last year.

How is that bow shooting for you anyhow?

It's a beaut!!! I haven't had as much time as I would like to shoot it, but a couple nights ago I took it out after not shooting it for about 2 weeks. And I was stacking arrows at 35 yards. I usually can get good groups at that distance but not smacking them like I was.

I think we could take this thing with one or 2 big bucks and a bunch of smaller ones. It's going to come down to how many were taken on each team and not how big.

I hung a stand on Saturday that I have already lost sleep over and I'm going to check out a small out of the way spot tomorrow that I've never seen anybody hunt, because you just wouldn't even think a deer would be in there. But I think the big one is bedded in there.

I also have to check out a farm nearby that has a freakin monster on it. This buck has to go 160" easy. Only problem is, everybody and there mother knows about it and the landowner lets anybody hunt his land. But not too many people hunt it during the week, like I can.

Things are heating up and I can't wait for first day.
