We start the 2nd of October here in PA. Things are starting to cool down here in the evenings and buck sightings are picking up at night. Looks like it'll be a good year. How good still remains to be seen. Good Luck.

Bowseason opens here in Kansas, i think on Sept 30th. I can't wait to go hunting. Have been hearing of some really good bucks being seen. I have a lot more private land(several thousand more) to hunt on this year, for bowseason anyways. A lot more than I can hunt. It's mostly out in open territory in western Kansas but the whitetails like and are used to the openess.

It is still going to be hot as you know what in mid -Sept here in GA. I have spent a good bit of time over the last couple of months scouting and planning. I think I have three pretty nice ones patterned but I will need the weather to break to get any real chances. My food plots have done exceptional this year so I think that will be an edge if I can get a cool afternoon. I am going to spend this Sunday glassing a big clear cut as a last check and then stay out away till the 11th. Let's go get em fellas!!

jason- where do you hunt in Texas? I went to school in Mckinney and my parents live there now. We've had a few leases in west Texas out around seymour and archer city.
