Guys I came very very close to getting us started out very well last night. I had 2 140-150 class bucks within 40-50 yds of my groundblind[:'(]. If they had came down the hill instead of going up we would be off to a real good start. I have been watching these 2 for a month now and they always had come out of the woods at the bottom of the hill and then started up it on the right side. I set my groundblind up about 100 yds up from the back on the right side just inside the treeline. Well last night they came out about 40 yds on up the hill from me[:@]. I actually left my groundblind and stalked them up to about 50 yds but couldn't get any closer without getting busted. Oh well it was a very exciting night hunting these 2 for well over an hour. If everything works out I will be back on them tonite but a little farther up the hill this time.

Just in case your wandering why I am hunting from a blind, it is because the landowner does not allow treestands to be used[:@]. Can't say I like it too well but stalking those 2 last night was about as exciting a hunt as I ever had.

Awesome...I love hearing hunting stories like this but I hate having 3 weeks until my season starts! Have those bucks shed their velvet then? It will be interesting to see what these two fellas do when the rut kicks in. IMO and for what it's worth, I think you did a very wise thing in not getting busted by them. Good luck!!!! Keep us posted!

Velvet is gone, they had a nice forkhorn with them to, he was was probably a foot tall, one is real wide 22-23 inches and fairly tall, the other is 19-20 inches wide and really tall. Both have pretty good mass too. Oh if I could just get in a tree
