RE: team 6!

My thoughts are, who ever wants it, can have it. I will be way too busy working[>:] and hunting. I will check into how to the situation with the pick, if anyone else finds out or knows how to do it. Let us know

RE: team 6!

my vote for team captain is for either zak123 or Buttonbuckmaster!! any of you want it?

buttonbuckmaster 08-25-2004 08:24 AM

RE: team 6!

I've been bowhunting since 1987, but had alot of dry years in there. Didn't kill my first deer with a bow until 1995. Killed 10 with shotgun before I got one with a bow[&:]I have never killed any wall hangers, butthe past three years I have killed 14 deer with my bow. This year, for the Bruisers, I will wait for a good buck. I really want a deer for the wall. Don't tell anyone......but I missed a 150 class typical in 1990 that my dad killed a week later.....still makes me sick seeing it hang in his living room.[:@] Pick whoever for the leader, doesn't matter to me....I am focused on opening day Oct 1st. Go team 6!

Let's bring the Team 6 "Bruisers" thread back "TTT".

I've seen zak123 doing a great job of keeping track of everything, so what do you all think Team 6? Nominate Zak to be captain?

Butch A.

buttonbuckmaster 08-25-2004 01:07 PM

RE: team 6!

I vote 4 Zak, too.

zak123 08-25-2004 02:30 PM

RE: team 6!

I miss one day and I get nominated as the team captain!:D What exactly does the team captain do? I haven't even taken my bow in the woods! Mabey someone else will make a better captain.

bwhunter501 08-25-2004 02:35 PM

RE: team 6!

yep i vote zack! hey zak all he does is make sure everyone on our team checks in and if he doesnt within a certain amount of time just post it and we will get replacements.

Zak, that's cool.... If you don't want it, then how about we all nominate Buttonbuckmaster as Captain? He's killed deer since 1987 (I think). Heck in 1987, I was getting stationed in Boston, MA is the Coast Guard and my twin daughters were a year old back then! Wow, times flies!

Buttonbuckmaster.... You want team Captain? :D

RE: team 6!

I see Butcha's point because buttonbuckmaster does have the most experience but whatever you guys think.:D

buttonbuckmaster 08-25-2004 03:23 PM

RE: team 6!

i have a little experience...but i'm only 29 guys. Killed the first one in 88.....of course...a buttonbuck[8D]. I'll leave it up to you guys. I am looking forward to the season and the contest. I am not much of a trophy hunter, but I do usually get a buck. I hope we kick some serious tail this year.

RE: team 6!

Button is the team captain. I haven't even bowhunted yet. He has been bowhunting for years, so he should be captain. Thanks though you guys.

We do have a young team. Two 15 year olds, one 16 year old, one 29 year old, and a well seasoned hunter (butcha)! How many are we missing?

RE: team 6!

I still think Zak is the man for the job. Might look good on a resume in your future.:)

zak123 08-25-2004 03:53 PM

RE: team 6!

Could you put that on a college resume?

buttonbuckmaster 08-25-2004 03:56 PM

RE: team 6!

why not? It sounds good!

zak123 08-25-2004 03:57 PM

RE: team 6!

Haha that would be awesome if I could do that. I thought you had to have things related to school on your resume?

buttonbuckmaster 08-25-2004 03:59 PM

RE: team 6!

Hunting is an education. Where else do you learn how to use a compass, lose a flashlight, and learn cool wonders like yonder?:D

zak123 08-25-2004 04:02 PM

RE: team 6!

Well if it will look good on a resume, I may reconsider it!:D

buttonbuckmaster 08-25-2004 04:02 PM

RE: team 6!

Its yours if u want it...if not i will do it.

bwhunter501 08-25-2004 04:15 PM

RE: team 6!

Well its between you two.;) we are just missing 2 people now..

zak123 08-25-2004 04:27 PM

RE: team 6!

I don't know it's your choice button. We both want it. Is there a way to solve it? Like draw names out of a bag?:D

Jbra 08-25-2004 04:51 PM

RE: team 6!

Dont forget about me, I will go along with everyone else on picking a captain.

It doesnt matter to me which one of u guys do it, either one of u will do fine I'm sure.

RE: team 6!

I ordered my first arrow fletcher today. I hope it works out. Any of you guys fletch your own arrows?

drstalker 08-25-2004 08:36 PM

RE: team 6!

Yeah pahunter I fletch my own,and do all my service work on my bows and some on friends and realatives.I don't mind if either of you take on the captain thing I am sure you guys will do a fine job.Oh yeah about myself sorry I have'nt posted much lately.I have been bowhunting off and on for about 20 years now it took several years to put a tag on a deer,I guess my excuse is the last five or so years I have gotten more serious, and have obtained rights to hunt property nearby as well as spending much more time in the woods. The last one is key, much more manhours in the woods.Bill D>

How long do you guys think we should give 3ptbuck and razortech before we ask for replacements?

buttonbuckmaster 08-26-2004 08:59 AM

RE: team 6!

I still say we give it to Zak...young minds think more clearly:)

buttonbuckmaster 08-26-2004 09:00 AM

RE: team 6!

I would give them until monday, and then find someone else......but thats just me.

Thanks you guys. 2 robin hoods in 2 days within 10 shots may help me get my buck.

buttonbuckmaster 08-26-2004 03:23 PM

Confidence will help you get your buck.....robin hoods will make you spend alot of cash on new arrows[:@]

I am very confident. Don't worry here, I will get my buck.

You and me both, Zak! I know where there is a nice 8 pointer. I also spotted/spooked a young pair of 4 point spikes - their mamas probably just sent them on their way too. Cute little guys, about the size of a goat. Give them a year or two and I'll be coming after them! [8D]

RE: team 6!

I usually luck into a buck....I hunt alot, but scout very little and hunt the same handful of stands every year. No wall hangers yet, but more than enough venison and mermories to last a lifetime. To me thats what matters. This year, I am going to be a little more selective, but I also am not dumb enough to look a gift horse in the mouth;)

RE: team 6!

DONT REPLACE ME YET!!!

Sorry for the late check-in guys. Started a new job over in Illinois last week and have been staying over there. Just a little info on my... my name is Adam and I'm 20. This will be my 5th year bowhunting and have taken 7 with my Alpine bow. This year I'll be shooting my new Bowtech, hopefully it will be as good to me as the Alpine has.
I do all of my hunting in SW Indiana in Warrick Co. Depending on if/when I move to Illinois I will be able to get a resident archery tag to hunt the ground that I have permission to hunt. Ive got a few good bucks on my trail cam this year so hopefully I can tag one of them and help the team out.

Sorry I wasnt around for the name, captain, etc decisions but looks like you guys have everything undercontrol. If theres anything i can do to help or anything I need to take care of let me know.

Good Luck guys

Adam

was bored sitting around so i made this but be easy on me, I was limited to using Paintshop so the quality isnt the best. oh, and if some names are spelled wrong, they are copied straight from the official team lists

If you like it I can do some editing and make it a little better quality- if not, no hard feelings

RE: Official Team "Bruisers" (6) Thread

On second thought- Someone else needs to make a badass sig for us. After looking at the other teams' I realized just how crappy that one was.

After all, since we're gonna win it all we need to have the best sig too
