Looks like we have a pretty popular team here and as for RackAttack, is "a 12 year old girl" the best you could come up with for me. What about Sponge Bob or something like that!!!

What is your friends name on the Ford? Our camp is not far from it and we fish it a bit in the summer. There are some nice deer out there but few and far between. Too many people that is why I like to bow hunt. My brother in law shot an eight last year with a 16" spread and 10-10 1/2 inch tines out of that area last year. Only problem was it was with a gun but still a nice buck. I know a few of the people along the Ford and if one is your buddy I could give him a shout for you.

Good morning gang!! Still haven't heard from our two MIA"s..........ButteredBuck and Dabohunter!!

Anybody doing anything special to improve your deer hunting this year??

With our new lease, we are just busy building trails, putting up stands, and fixing up a leaking trailer for camp HQ. We will be planting some winter food plots (rye and wheat) pretty soon.

Most folks don't realize, but we got some BIG deer down here in MS. I hunt in what is called the Big Black River Basin area. I was ranked in the top 10 for places to hunt by one leading hunting publication a couple of years ago. I'll post some pics of a few deer our gang took last year down here.

That deer as an 8 point scored 176 gross B & C. He only netted 156, he was actually an 13 point with some small kickers. Still a monster, but not near as big as what that photo showed. I'll get his pic from the Ms. record book and post it.

I used to shoot mechanicals but this year im trying out the Magnus Stinger 4-blades in 100gr., i like them alot so far, they fly great IMO. Been practicing alot with them and have them tuned perfect for me. Hope they will help me get a big one this year:D That reminds me, might go practice a lil now and maybe a lil light scouting. Later

Rob PA bowyer set up a date for the replacements. He said to give them 2 weeks fromt he date teams were posted. So we still have a few days before we can make a move.

AHHHHHH the weekend is finally here. Now more work for three days. I'' be back to my smaktalkn' now the weekend is upon us!!

I use 4 blade 100 grain SlickTrick broadheads.

I'm A Muzzy man. I have had great luck with them. I've shot a Mathews Q2 for the last three years. I have shot 42 deer with a bow with about two thirds of them does. Like I said ealier my best bow buck was two years ago. I'll be off three staight weeks this year in prime time. I hope it pays off. I have just seven more day to go till the games begin!!!

I am just trying to figure out when everyones season starts.

I know kentuckys open sept. 4th.

I am not sure abot New Jerseys

I believe the rest of ours starts the first couple days of October.

Just wanted to know what most of you guys did, hunt from stands or from the ground. I always hunt out of stand, never really thought about ground hunting, seems like it would be harder to get a good shot off without being detected.

I do mostly all my hunting from a tree stand. I at times will hunt out of a natural ground blind. But I would say 95% of the time I am in the tree.

I have 6 lockons in place right now. I do plan to add 1 or 2 more here shortly. Plus the climber. I try to never over hunt a praticular stand site. I hunt thick cover mostly. But will hunt funnels and open areas if the sign dictates to.

Been doing some checking on our Mia's..........

Dabowhunter is either intentionally not responding to the emails and the team board, or he just doesn't want to be on this team. He posted Thurs. and Fri. on other boards on this site. If you're not in DABOWHUNTER, then just say so.

Our other MIA (Bigbutteredbuck12) is 12 yrs old per some of his older posts.

I vote we can them and move on with replacements immediately!!

That may seem harsh, but it's time to move on........
