RE: Team 19 Thread
Hunting central Missouri this year out of our new weekend lake retreat. I will be hunting new grounds for me but a few spring turkey hunts made me think it will be a good season, lots of good country. I'll start about the first week in October but my big bow hunting effort will be 10/14 - 10/18 when I take a few days off from work. Look for my contribution that week. I was skunked last year as I focusewd on my 12yr old son connecting. It paid off with a doe that field dressed 160lbs. Well worth the effort, he was very pleased. If no luck in October there is always December as well, November of course is rifle season here, I hang the bow up for a month.
What are you guys shooting? PSE here. My new Muzzy broadheads should be arriving from cabelas today, time to get shooting. |
RE: Team 19 Thread
im shooting my old truty Jennings Gamegetter, was hoping for a new bow this summer but didnt get a job yet so no cash flow but i did manage to get a trap door rest which is really sweet IMO. Im pulling 65lbs and trying out the Magnus Stingers 100 gr. so far i like how they fly. I've only got one doe so far bowhunting since i started 5 years ago and now that college is over ill be spending alot more time in the woods. I've been putting in alot of time scouting and hanging stand and the such and am confident in my strategy for the season. Plus the antler restrictions in PA are finally showing their results.

Heres my story!:)
I am hunting NE Ohio Trumbull and Portage counties. Season starts Oct 2nd and goes until Jan 31st. I know the ins and outs of all my properties and am expecting nothing less than a monster this year! I am extremely confident, its going down this season. I have put one on the wall the past 3 years and don't plan on this year being any different;) I have some absolute monsters patterend out pretty well for this season. I shoot a 2004 BowTech Patriot VFT SC at 70 pounds 29 inch draw length. Copper John dead nuts sight. I take my trophy taker off for hunting and put on a Whisker Biscuit. Vibracheck shorty stabilizer 2 piece BowTech quiver and Gold Tip arrows 100 grain Slick Trick broadheads. I have 6 lock ons set up. I also use a Summit Cobra XLS climber. I hunt all private land and split my time up between 3 main farms. I am telling you they think that team 4 is gonna win. It ain't going down like that!! Team 19 OWNS this friendly competition[8D] |
