Default Just picked up my first crossbow

It came with lubricant (looks like chapstick), but I'm not sure where to use it. On the rail where the string goes across?

TIA

Put some on a Q-tip and lightly lube the rails where the bolt will ride. You can also use it to wax your cables and string.

Use it on the rails and work it into your string.

You should be using it per your manufacturers instructions. I use wax for my cables and string except for the serving as I read you are not supposed to wax the serving on your string.

The instructions had nothing about it. That's why I asked.

What is the serving?

Thanks everyone.

The serving is the portion of the bowstring wrapped with finer string.

Use it as per the instructions given by manufacturer.

As I said above, there were no directions in the paperwork. That's why I posted here.
