I've had a problem with this since it came out. Who can guarantee shooting lanes out to 100 yards? Even as fast as it is, the arrow can't keep up with the sound it gives deer time to jump.
I missed a doe 25 years ago with a recurve at 15 yards from a deflection. A small stick had fallen and was hanging from a limb and I never even noticed it. She walked through, I drew and released and the arrow went ten yards and swiftly turned left and went about 6" behind her and stuck in the ground. I was amazed as WTF Happened. Then i saw the stick swinging. Lucky I didn't wound her, but I learn the proper checking of shooting lanes that day. If I missed that stick at ten yards, how much trash could interfere at 100 yards.
I think Ravin makes a nice, but expensive bow. I really take issue with the 100 yard promotion as they absolutely know how hunters are going to take it and use it that way, but don't care as long as they are making money. Ethics highly matter to me and they don't seem to matter to many in the industry. I personally won't buy any of their equipment just because of this and will point this out every time I have a chance.
The hunting industry is full of people willing to sell out for the almighty dollar or social media acclaim.
