I prefer the re-curves. Mostly due to the ease of string changes, and the light maintenance involved.

I have had an Excalibur Vortex for several years now. It has many deer and is super accurate and Very easy to maintain.

They make at least 2 of them. They are not as easy to de-string as an Excaliber but they do have an anti-dryfire feature.

You are correct. I checked multiple outfitter sites and it looks like they are discontinued and out of stock.

I am currently waiting for my Excalibur Ibex to be delivered. I picked the recurve because of ease of use and maintainance.
