Barnett quad 300

I bought a used barnett quad 300 crossbow went out hunting with it the other day and noticed that when i draw the string back w/ a rope device that the string sets high on the trigger device where i have to push it down to match the bolt notch is this normal

Are your putting the hooks facing up or down on your string? Barnett wants the hooks facing up, forcing the string downward when cocking.

hooks are facing up. but noticed that the rollers are causing the trouble. they seem to push upward causing the string to lock high.
