Any matrix shooters

I shoot a matrix 380. Anyone else? How do you like? Pros cons?

Don't own one but have shot the 380. Like: 6" narrower, good balance, speed.
Dislike: Hard cocking, about like Equinox (disclaimer, twice cut back and shoulders, 73). Trigger - on this one - was not acceptable to me, heavy pull, creep. (disclaimer, hobby gunsmith who works triggers). Louder than any of the 4 other bows shot that day. (Phoenix, Vortex, Cyclone and Mission 360).
Trigger Tech trigger would solve that issue but + $130. Impressed overall, woudl use 20" arrows rather than the 18's....better selection.

It's the loudest sounding bow I've seen & trigger is not as good as it could be.

But it is the fastest recurve bow & with a different trigger & damper kit should be much better than the only one I've had the chance to shoot.

Over all I like my Scorpyd 165 SLP better.

Have the 355, love it so far... I am actually in the stand with it for the first time(picked it up last Friday) had 2 deer with rifle so far, so I'm giving this a try.

I sure like the looks of them. If I ever upgrade from my Vortex, it will be one of these. Maybe down the road, on futue models, Excal will improve on any issue.

Excalibur has taken many of the best features of compound crossbows and applied them to a recurve with the new Excalibur Matrix 380.

The simplicity and durability of a recurve crossbow is very appealing to many crossbow shooters.

However, the width and slower speeds often associated with recurve crossbows kept many crossbow hunters from choosing Excalibur over other brands.

With that being said, the Excalibur Matrix 380 is the fastest and shortest tip-to-tip crossbow Excalibur has ever built.

The 355 is the same width, and it is 1" shorter as well... Physically the 380 and the 355 are the exact same except for the length. 1" longer power stroke is howitzer gets it's faster speeds. The R.E.D.S is not necessary on the 355 but it is on the 380.

REDS may not be 'necessary' ...unless you ave a dryfire. I'd put them on just for the 'insurance factor.' Likely have been left off to make them cheaper and to sell REDS.
