Tuning problem
I bought a new Parker Thunder Hawk and shot arrows with 100 grain field points out to 50 yards and they were right on the money. I shot them with 100 grain slick tricks and they went to the left a couple of inches at 20 yards and almost a foot at 50 yards. I went back to the shop where I bought it and was told to move the scope to zero in the broad heads. Is this my only option or should I try expanable heads? I am new to cross bows and will welcome some advice.
Thank you |
Try the expandibles. They have a rep for shooting to same poi as field points.

Haven't shot crossbows much but I would much rather have my broad heads hitting where I aim them, than worrying if they hit where the field points do. That said, I would try the expandable s if that's what your shooting for.

Well wid a compound style crossbow you may want to ck yer timin & the tiller to make sure they're perfect. Then you can ck yer arrrows bein sq. vanes indexed n so on. You didn't say what brand arrows to can't say if'en they be underspined or over

Broadheads
Expandables work great plus they rip a nice hole

broadheads fly a little different sometimes....than field points...get the muzzy practice heads and they shoot like the real muzzy heads...or whatever brand should have practice heads...even the expandable have practice heads...so you don't mess up your hunting heads...I don't think its a problem with your crossbow...
