Parker Tornado Failure "Solved
 

About a month ago I posted a note about my buddy's Tornado blowing up both limbs simultaneously. Which I thought was a strange enough coincidence. Well after much discussion I think the reason is clear .... essentially a dry-fire! This cross bow has an anti dry-fire mechanism. However, during my discussion with the guy it came to light that while target shooting the day before, one of the capture nocks" bounced off the bolt from the recoil shock of hitting the bag target. The guy slipped the nock back onto the bolt ... but after quizing him, I am convinced (and he is too) that he did not properly align the nock in relationship to the cock-feather.

That was the same bolt that he shot next ... and the "bow sounded funny" and he missed well low and well right ... and the bolt flew funny ??? Next morning the limbs both blew up as he attempted to cock the cross bow. Could be that he did the damage with that last bolt, which was not engaging the cable the full length of the release, and what may have occurred was I might call a semi dry-fire.

But just a guess. In any case the dealer replaced the cross bow at no cost.

2 weeks ago my buddy was shooting his parker and the limb blowed up.
It also sounded loud to me when we would shoot it.
Don;t know ???
