Crossbow Success!

I got 1-1/2 year old button buck. 40 yard shot with my Vortex. Dropped it in it's tracks. He was small, but will be some good eating. I'll probably cut him into mostly steaks and stew meat. Then wait for a bigger one to do roast, steaks, jerky, etc. I used a NAP shockwave on this one. Talk about devastation. Hit a rib on the oposite side and destroyed my arrow & broadhead.

Congradulations. Sounds like back strap steaks about 1" thick, wrapped in bacon ... marinated in Dale's ... and cooked to medium rare over a be of glowing charcoal to me !!

Thanks everyone... I hung him overnight then cut the backstraps, quartered him and have im in a big cooler. I caught a vicious case of the flu. I will cut him up today. Should be Really tender since he has been somewhat aged. Ready for number 2 as soon as I shake this sicknes....

Maybe we should start calling arrows and broadheads, terminal tackle/equipment.

I go through more arrows this way. This sport really becomes expensive after a while!!!

Sorry forgot to add a congrats on the tasty harvest!!!!!
