Horton Activator
 

My son recently acquired a Horton Activator crossbow ****ing mechanism. It's powered by a rechargeable "D" cell pack. It appears new, possibly used a few times, but there are no scuff marks, etc. on it. I know it was made in the 1970s and was on the market for just a short time. Does anyone know its value, either to a collector (if applicable) or for field use?

P.S. I did a preview of this post and, hilariously, the banned word selector doesn't want to show (k)ocking mechanism. So, I'm using "K" as an alternate letter selection! LOL. Maybe the "C" will show up in the final post...

Hard to believe a crossbow forum won't let you discuss c0cking or unc0cking a crossbow, but it is what it is.
