Extending my opportunities
In NC there is no gun hunting on Sunday so I wanted to get a crossbow for my daughter and I to use so we could hunt the weekend. I hunt with her and she is 15 and would use it most of the time and I occocasionally. I know nothing about crossbows. 100% gun up to this point. Whitetail would be the target.
I am only getting one crossbow, Any help on how to select a crossbow and any specific recommendations would be appreciated. My budget is around $500 for a complete set-up. Thanks |
for compound... barnett jackal, best +bow for under $300 we have 3 in our family
with over 300 shots each and proper maintenance, still like new and are very accurate for recurve.... excalibur vixen, very best for a little more than $400 if ya shop around. we have several excals also and love'um also the jackals too !!!!! jm.02 |
Best bow for the price: Wicked Ridge Invader. Plus it is backed by the best crossbow company Ten Point.

I personally have the Vortex. But I don't see how you could go wrong with an Excal. They have a lifetime warranty, excellent customer service. Are very accurate and hi-quality. And maintenance is a breeze since you do not need a bowpress for a recurve. |
