First Hunt w/ a Xbow and First Deer - thanks to All of You
 

Well I went hunting for the first time this morning with my new xbow and an hour and a half into it I shot my first deer at 25 yds. She ran maybe 40 yds at best. Bloodtrail looked like a massacre. It was just awesome.

This forum is where it all came together for me and made it happen (from gear, to stands, to tracking advice, etc). I did my homework and David at Wyvern hooked me up with a package that is just awesome (Ten Point Turbo XLT, Hakwke XB30, Goldtips with 100gr Slick Tricks). It was just awesome. I am hooked forever. Thanks to all of you.

That is great!! I am looking for my first xbow. I have done alot of reading and I do believe that I am going to give that gentleman a call and see if he can help me as well. Thanks:biggrin:

I just made the switch to crossbow this year also. After struggling to humanely take game after 2 shoulder surgeries I decided to concede and get a crossbow. Shot my first deer with it 2 days ago and was extremely happy with the performance and accuracy. I decided on an Excalibur set up. Here is my first with the xbow.
