moose hunting

My dad just drew a once in a lifetime moose permit and wants to hunt with a crossbow. I use a compound, so I know very little about crossbows. What would be a good crossbow to look at that is light and a crisp trigger pull? I'm sure I will have more follow-up questions, including bolts and broadheads. Thanks.

Good advice 'yote. Dave is good people and he talks crossbow as a first language. He'll take the time to explain all you need to know about crossbows, while learning about your dad's likes and limitations, to help you and your dad make an informed choice, without getting hung up on 'buy the brand I did' as most individuals tend to.
Best of luck with the buy and the hunt

i would say get to a store and try a few out. with a moose hunt your probably gonna be stalking. to me that means small light and compact. ironically there arent many that fit that bill. if he trys out and holds and shoots a few i think it will make the decision for him. at the sports show my buddy loved the feel of the horton vision while my brother loved the parker tornado while i liked the horton new team realtree ultra lite. after you hold a few they start speaking to you :happy0157:
