Brace height?
 

Is there a formula for calculating proper brace height on a recurve crossbow? I have a Barnett Ranger (hold the snickers...it's just a starter bow), 150# recurve. I don't have the manual with me to give you the limb and string lengths at the moment. I am rebuilding the bow, making new parts for the trigger group, polishing the rail, restringing, whatever I can do to improve it. I purchased a couple of custom strings from a reputable dealer online and am eager to get the bow out and about. The old string was several years old, mostly closet time, so I don't trust it. Just want to make sure I put the proper twist in the string. Thanks!
