Well I am proud you killed a nice deer, but I would like to hear you say that the distance was a typo. I dont believe it is ethical at all to shoot 85 yards with a cross bow. It doesnt make you good, but it does make you extremely lucky and stupid!!

That's uncalled for, just because you can't shoot a crossbow that well doesn't mean the others have to hold to your deficiency, i myself have shot several African game at 75 Yards, and many hogs and Wt Deer, but I have being shooting a bow and crossbow since age 10 and I'm in my 60's.

Congrats refrow can't wait for the pics.

If you consider all the variables - wind, deer taking a step, pulling the shot - taking an 85 yard shot even under PERFECT CONDITIONS is not only STUPID it is also very UNETHICAL and shows a great lack of respect for the animal.
If you must take that shot, do the hunting world a favor and keep it to yourself.
