I'd like to know what any of you think is best.

Jig a Loo Wal Mart hardware dept.

+1 for Jigaloo as rail lube.
Minimal wax on serving and burnish it in real well, wipe off excess! |
a couple
I have jig-a-loo and scorpion venom both work great but for price point the jig a loo cant be beat. Buckeyefootball

Plain old Crisco shortning on the rail. Scent free, can find it at any grocery store and for like $3 you get a tub of it, slick as snot. I use Bohning string wax on my string, and with this combo I have over 1,000 shots on my string and the serving looks like new. I keep it in a little No.11 BP cap tin in my hunting pack.
I also use this Crisco in my blackpowder pistol to cap off each ball in the cylinder. |
Krypt -
1,000 shots isn't saying much until you name the bow. There are many bows out there that the string to track/rail contact is VERY light. To name a couple, Darton and some of the Hortons and the Bowtech Desert Stryker is also fairly light. Mike |
PSE Viper is the bow I got
|
I use the excalibur wax that came with my bow and I clean any residue with 91% Alchohol
I dont use any lube on the rail. |

Anyone use the jig-a-loo with teflon?
