Excalibur Recurve Vs. TenPoint Recurve
Curious to know which one might be better. Or is it like asking mercedes vs bmw, different answers depending on the person but both looked as very high end?
Thanks |

PayJ,
I think you hit the nail on the head. They're both awesome crossbows. it's all about preference. I don't think you could go wrong with either. In my opinion, they both are top players in the industry. Good luck in your search! |
Love my Phoenix and Vortex.:deer:

They are both nice the only thing with the 10point is,is that you can get a compound limb set up(i.e profusion) and have the best of both worlds.......

True Mr.Ranger but when you have a Defender CLS also then
you have the best of both worlds!Hehehe.:happy0001: |
Sorry but in my experience the Excalibur is truly ahead of the TenPoint and anyone else producing recurves. There really is no comparison when it comes to recurve crossbows, Excalibur is the industry leader. After all they've been doing it for far longer than everyone else put together and doing it successfully I might add. Now if you want to talk about compounds then then it's a different story. No one can dispute the fact that Excalibur is first in recurves!

Well, I'm a Ten Point guy all the way and I had a QX4 compound crossbow and sold it to buy the curve. The QX4 shot real good out of the bow stand I have. Now the curve is wider, longer and really hard to get into position out of the box stand to shoot. After the season is over, I'm either going to trade the curve to the guy I sold the QX4 to, (he said he would be glad to trade) or buy the defender compound limb set to see if I like it or not. Honestly, the curve shoots great but I miss my QX4 compound. Curves, like women, are nice, but if she don't suit ya, trade er in. :)

If I get a compound it will most likely be a Scorpyd The Equinox will stay always The Equinox and Scorpyd were my final two choices when I decided on a crossbow. Went with the Scorpyd to be different but still wouldn't mind owning an Equinox. I think it's a great bow ! Love the looks of it and feel of the thumbhole stock ! |
New to archery hunting, but did a lot of research on all xbows I could. I found the Ten Point GT-Curve to be what I wanted in a xbow. I have yet to harvest any game with it, but I love the smoothe operations and handling of the bow.
![]() Here she is at the ready in the woods. I like the simplicity of design. No pullies or cables to give you headaches. I think it say it all. |
