shooting technique
When I'm shooting rifles or vertical bows I keep a loose grip with my left hand to keep from pulling the shot. I noticed today with my xbow my groups are tighter when I do the opposite and keep a firm grip with my left hand on the fore end. Anyone else have the same results? With a loose grip my shots tend to shoot low and to the left. Its a small margin but noticeable. I'm guessing the arrow is still leaving the rail while the bow is "recoiling" a little low and left. I use recoiling loosely cause I can't think of a better term.

I'd say that is a fairly good explaination.
I have noticed that I have to not only get a firm grip, but also I shoot better with a forward pushing motion to my left arm. Could be the say thing, couneracting the "recoil". Just stick with what works! Dryridge |
I have always kept a firm grip on my fore piece, thinking that
it would be a better or firmer base to shoot the arrow, when I hold it loose the shot just doesnt feel right,Im thinking.Do the same with the Curve and the Defender. |
