Eastman Crossbows
I am getting ready to buy a crossbow. So far my two main choices are between Eastman and Parker. I cannot find a company web site for Eastman Outfitters. I guess it scares me if I don't have a easy way to contact the company. Does anyone have any information or pros and cons about Eastman.
In the Parker line, I am looking at the Hurricane or the Tornado. Any suggestions here? Dave |

I checked WyvernCreations and can't see where they carry Eastman Outfitters. Nothing aginst Wyvern, but I would rather buy close to home. Support the local business if possible. I'm just interested in the Eastman and this is the first year they carried them. I told them my concerns about not knowing anything about where the company was located and they didn't know what there web site was.

If you can't even find the co. when you're trying to buy the product, guess where you'll be when you need their support. I buy local IF they have what I want and can service their product when I need them. In most cases, when it comes to crossbows, they can't. Just send it back to the factory. ANYONE can do that.I guess I don't need to pay a premium for that "service." Until you mentioned it, I haven't even heard of Eastman crossbows. Good luck.

RE: Eastman Crossbows
Eastman as I understand it basicly is kinda a copy of the older Darton (with some licensing from Darton again as I understand it). I shot a couple at the trade shows and they are "OK" but a tad heavy IMO compared to other bows out there in their price range and I felt that they had abit more hand shock, but some people really liked them, so it is going to be a hit or miss if you cant get your hands on one to try, but if you like it the only issue is they are kinda off the radar as far as what their service is like. I personaly dont carry them as I did not see where it would have been a good addition to what I already carry, but I fully understand and appreciate the local business support :D
Keep us posted Wyvern |

I did find out a little about Eastman Outfitters today but to late to talk to someone. My dealer gave me an information sheet with there address, phone and website on it. Their website is www.eastmanoutfitters.com but the address doesn't work. The are from Flushing, MI.And Darton makes the bows for them.
