Flemish string

What are the advantages of a Flemish string over standard factory ones on a Excalibur?

I'm new to all this, but my understanding is that they add like 15fps too a normal factory string, but are harsher if you dry fire your crossbow.

Terry, I would have though you would have asked George when you were trying all those new compounds at The Bow Shop! Have you decided which new bow you are going to buy and hide from your wife? :D:D:D
