My nickel, pickup a vortex as an investment with a company for years of great service with lifetime warranty
You can't go wrong with Excal, have 2 and working on 3 and 4.

Gold Tip Lazer II's with 110 grn brass inserts, 2" Blazers and 100 grn Slick Trick mags sure do the trick for me out of the Vortex (and Phoenix for that matter). Weigh 405 grns, with FOC over 20% and great terminal perofrmance (after all that's what's most important, eh?). Best thing, they fly like my field point tipped arrows so I save on targets and broadheads when parcticing or sighting in.

If you googled the term you would have gotten this.
http://www.google.ca/search?q=foc+archery&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-GBfficial&client=firefox-a
The first one has a pretty good explanation.
It is also here at this forum. http://www.huntingnet.com/staticpage...ail.aspx?id=20
