Q about Jennings devastator crossbow
My neighbor has a Jennings Devastator 7006 special crossbow, draw weight 150, string length 44"
he hasnt hunted in years and wants to start again. Due to his bad shoulder he cannot draw the string into lock position. He doesnt get online, so I am trying to find out for him, what the device is that cranks the string back, and is it still available/adaptable to his bow. any help would be appreciated! Thanks |
RE: Q about Jennings devastator crossbow
I'd have to see the bow to be sure. Ten point makes one that fits into the stock. It may be adapable if the stock is relatively thin in the comb area. Parker makes one that is temporary, mit fits onto the bck of the stock.I've adapted it to fit both my Parker and Excalibur bows. Post a picture if you can, I'm sure there are other ideas if folks can see the 'project.'

RE: Q about Jennings devastator crossbow
As Cos notes, because of the design of the stock, nuthin's gonna work rightout of the package.
You're gonna have to go to the crossbow sites, look at their crank mechanisms, buy what you think will work, then adapt/modify it yourself. I'd guess...it's not as difficult as it sounds. A few hand tools, and a coupla hours work, should be good. Have fun. Mike |
