20 inch bolts???

i bought the barnett predator a couple days agon and it came with four 22 inch bolts....i was wondering if it would hurt it too shoot 20 inch bolts instead??....i have around 2 dozen 20 inch bolts left over from other crossbows and it would save me money by not having to buy more 22 inch bolts..........any info will be greatly appreciated

RE: 20 inch bolts???

As long as they extend past the end of the CB yes. Butfirst they must meet minimum weight. Barnett's, likea few other compound type are set up at the minimum arrow weight, you go below that and you have the dry fire affect from to light of a arrow. So make sure you read the book or call the company and get the minimumtotal arrow weight. If your 20" bolts meet it then you shouldbe good to go.

Like Jason said. BE VERY CAREFUL on weight!! I had a Quad 400 go off like a hand grenade. Did Bnett ever change their one year warranty?
