Horton's got what?

I got my Bass Pro book today and after looking through it and stopping on the Horton Crossbow page, I was amazed at their new Recon 175 Xbow. I've never seen an Xbow with the limbs backwards mounted before. It's weird to say the least and I for one would be a little scared to shoot it but I know it's safe but still! LOL Anyone else seen this new contrapsion?

OH my...this has been the buzz since the ATA show...it is actually a take on a DaVinci design (yes, I actually have a nice piece of curly maple that I am going to try a medieval version of his original design when I get caught up on a few things) They are actually pretty cool since they relax fully on release and are extreamly quiet.

Can you guess how close the wheels will be to the railwhen the bow is fully cocked? That would even be more weird looking. LOL

Since the limbs are in the direction they are I wonder how many times they will get sued from guys dry firing it! You know some one will and they will have one heck of a busted up face!!

My only complaint with it is that it weighs about 11 lbs. I saw it at the ATA and Harrisburg shows. Build quality is really nice. Strange looking but interesting. I just might add one to the collection if I see it's doing well in the market.

I've got one on order...

Havin a hard timewaiting!

The weight may be a bit over most, but it appears that most of it is atthe shouldered end. Hopefully it is...that'll make the actual act of aiming not much different than most other bows. It'll just be a bit much for hiking very far!

David (Wyvern)...can you conferm about the weight center of this monster?

You won't be disappointed with the quality or the performance. I have had the opportunity to shoot one all day long. Very quiet and no recoil either.

weight as we get older is not so nice.

yet, weight helps steady the aimif it balanced right.

that bow looks different, only time will tell if it is without boo boos.

me, i would wait a few years until they get bugs out of it.if any.
