Default Thinking about getting a crossbow

Louisiana has revised their regs for 2008-2009 hunting season to allow crossbows. What would be a good one to start hunting with?

Look at all of them, whatever fits you the best, Tops in XBows, TenPoint and Excalibur great customer service and great bows. I have a Excal that I will keep til I die.

Depends on the amount of money you wish to invest in. you can buy used CB's as well as new. some very good investments would be in no order here. excal-parker-ten pt. also if money isn't an issue desert stryker

warranty, arrow speed, accuracy, reliability, customer service, reputation of the manufacturer, how well it fits you, ease of use in al hunting situations. and absolutely last is price!

Excalibur Phoenix. Reasonably priced. Fast enough for most game you'll likely hunt. Simple recurve design, easy to maintain. Change strings w/o press...even in the field. Accurate to a fault. Reliable. Lifetime-no questions asked- warranty. Great support. Nuff said.
