Scope problems

I have an Horton Explorer HD 150 with the Horton 3red dot scope. The first time i shot it, it was shooting great. But today and yesterday it was shooting very bad.I completly missed the target 2 times at 20 yds and missed at 30 yards.I had it zeroed dead on at 20 yds then i back off to 30 and completly miss the target.I had a good rest so i know it wasn't me.Anybody else have any experience with these scopes? What scope would you reccomend me getting?Do you think that the scope is causing the inconsistancy?

Quite often when you run into this kind of a problem the rings or mount has come loose. Also chek your string wheels and rails for problems, it could be the scope if it benn droped or damaged. Lee

The Excal Lumizone is a excellent scope, there have been no problems for me with that scope.

If you are cocking the bow by hand it may be possible the string is not even. Using a rope cocker will eliminate that. As said before , check your scope mounting and make sure all screws are tight. Make sure you arrows are straight. If all of that is okay, try a different sight. You may have a screwed up Red Dot.

Be sure to check your dial-a-range. My string cocker kept moving the dial and I lost three arrows before I figured it out.

On a Horton, on your dial a range, set it at # 2 and sight from there, that what the company told me once when I was experiancing trouble. My scope was a multi-range scope.

And like that was said in a previous post, use a rope, or a crank, to pull up your string. The stringHAS to be pulled up straight, to make sure the flight goescorrect. That way you are shooting the same thing everytime ~~~
