Range Finder Recommendations

I am looking for recommendations for a range finder suitable for mounting on the crossbow scope using the range finder mount. Anyone have suggestions for a moderately priced one. Thanks.

Icame up w/ the idea for that mount and made a deal w/ Excal to mfgr and sell them. My prototype did not have the rubber dampening system that the one they offer has. I took 1200 plus shots out of an Excal Emax w/ it before sending it to Excal. I used the cheapest RF Bushnell sells. Would still be using that one, but on a hog hunt in La the dang mount came off the scope on the back of my 4 whlr, lol. make sure your ring/mount screw stays tight!!

I have not be shooting for to long but is the range that important? It seems most of the CB are good to out around 50 yards and probably 30 to 40 are the best distances for accuracy. On my bow (Excalibur Vortex) I don't get that much drop that the scope can't sort it out. Also, pretty easy to tell the distance from 20 to 50 yards.

I would be lost without a rangefinder!
I use the cheapest Bushnell, works great on the pad awshucks came up with.I
took it one step further and put a remote switch on the bow to make it hands free. I also use a velcro strap around it to keep it secure, it is very secure without the strap butI needed some extra insurance.

I pretty much suck at guessing anything past point blank range!! I have the range finder mount on my Vortex, but it is for my video camera and not a range finder. I would think any of the flat style will work, but thats only a guess. I have a Nikon 440 and it works pretty good for me but the low light ranging is what is hard to do. But my 440 is a upright style and would be harder to put on a RF mount.
