Hard case for Excalibur X-Bows ?
Does anyone make a hard case for Excalibur Crossbows?
My new Vortex doesn't seem to fit (width wise) in any hard case I have seen. I have always like hard cases for anything I have that has optics. Remi700 |

Unbolt the bow from the stock and use any double gun hard case. Pretty much it I am afraid.

RE: Hard case for Excalibur X-Bows ?
There are a few guys on here that do what Dave mentions and they say it has no affect on POI. When I am not using it, it hangs next to the bed. When I would need a hard case I am not interested in a assembly job before each hunt, that is why I have not done that idea. One would think Excal would see this as a opportunity for something, but they have not. One thing that I think we will all see on this real soon is someone doing it. Now that Horton and TenPoint have a wider CB someone will see it as a market and make us a nice hard case.

The Plano one I bought prior to getting my Vortex ( I know that was stupid), is only 3 or 4 inches too narrow.
I'm nervous about soft cases, even padded, with scopes. I'm sure Hotburn is right about someone adapting to the needs of the consumers of both Excalibur and now Ten Point, by producing a wider hard case. -Remi700 |

I use a Plano compound case, the Excal fits like it was made for it!
You can not hurt the bow by taking it apart repeatedly, and it will not change the POI at all on reassembly. However, if you leave it in the sun for 8 hours be sure to flip it every now and then..[:@] ![]() |
RE: Hard case for Excalibur X-Bows ?
I just use the padded soft case. As long as the scope does not make real hard contact with any thing really hard my scopes never have been affected. But then I am using high end rifle scopes. I dropped on of my bows the other day on the concrete and it layed a beating on the scope but it did not shift the POI. So if you have a really good scope on it don't sweat it unless you have to ship your bow.
What I like about the padded soft case is that you can carry your bow and everything else in it. When you get to where you are going you can sit on it too. |
