It would be nice if I had some usefull info to post once in awhile[&o]... |
RE: I would
Did you get a new scale with your reloading stuff? I just got my RCBS scale and have weighed everything that will fit on it! Well at least most everything!! You using the food scale for powder?

RE: I would
Ya just the balance one 5 0 5....I like to have a dig, found the wifes but only set to grams, arrow is 26g.hehehe......might just make something to hold the arrow on the 5 0 5...
Set up the chrono and with the Boo string w/catwhiskers Iam shooting 303 with string on line, with string about 3/8 below line it shot 305..... Chrono wouldnt work in one part of basement but the set it in the Bar and shoot 12yrds into my room and it works great, will post pic in abit of set up......I think I can get 15yrds out of it :D |

RE: I would
Took 5 more shots with the Vortexand all were 303 with string on line and arrow at 26g,I will keep it as is since its not worth the extra 2fps with it just above middle....GTL II's
The Pro Fusion averaged 303.5 with 5 shots with arrow at 24g. just shot the 10point Pro Elite arrowwith the Vortex and only got 300...hmmm..... |
RE: I would
AS YOU see I do have a good side to the MAN ROOM/CAVE.......:D
|
RE: I would
My average was 309, but I also just found out I was shooting a 400 grain arrow to! Still looking for my lost 30 grains!! I also hit at 268 FPS at forty yards away.
|
RE: I would
Still havent figured that out [X(].what glue are you useing(as if).....
Just weighed my GT L II wit 4"vain and 100gr Field point and it tips the scale at 408......The Pro Elite comes in at 421 with 4"vain and 100 gr FP...... |
RE: I would
You have larger vanes, so that makes sense yours would weight a little more, but you too are missing 30 grains!!
|
RE: I would
What weight spec's are you going off ?.[X(]...
Now that I have a scale and chrono I dont need to go off hearsay because thats what ive done before[:-],granted I dont have any arrow weight charts(yet)so I have to beleave in the scale and what the graph tells me.[X(]...Witch is way better then Ive been doing forso long, now I can post true facts about what I see....:D. Kinda like teaching a old dog new tricks, its taken this long(24yrs)just for me to get this fancy:D.You should of seen me going from alum to carbon arrows, that was tuff [&o]now I wont look back... |
RE: I would
I was going off what members on here said. They have the brass insert GT's that weigh with point at 430 grains. Was what I was also told by Dan Miller when I bought them. But mine when I first got the scale they weight in 30 grains less. Now yours are 8 grains heavier, but you have the 4" vanes, makes sense to me, but neither of us have the 430 grain arrows that people said we have. What weight where you told your GT weighed when you bought them? Again, don't none of you take this as a grip about GT arrows, I like them, I like shooting them as much as I like knowing what I am using also!! LOL!!
|
RE: I would
I got mine from Dan also so were in the same boat...I will more then likely strip one down and weigh it that way there is no confusion to its exact weight....but I want to wait till I get a digital scale to do this little test.....

RE: I would
alum nocks 22 gr
alum inserts 32 gr brass inserts 110 gr [or possibly 90] [3] 2"Blazers 18 gr [3] 4" dura 27 gr GT L II's 8.6 gr per inch [been told, haven't checked] Factory GT's used to weigh 357 gr w/ alum inserts and 5" vanes. If your MK's are light, call him and ask why, I'm sure he'ld like to know. |
