Ok, I had an incredible setup. Horton LS2 Lite 2216 arrows(300gr) with 100gr practice points or Muzzy 100gr fixed blade broadheads. It was incredibly accurate, but it is a little light, since Tenpoint says minimum weight is 420gr.

So I bought 125gr American Broadhead Liberty broadheads and 125gr practice points. It seems like I've lost control of the arrow flight path. I have taken a setup which will shoot the nocks out of arrows in the target at 20 yards to a setup which won't put 3 arrows on target with broadheads or practice points.

Any ideas where to go from here? I'm trying to get from a 400 grain arrow to a 420 - 440 gr arrow to meet minimum weight.

Is there a better aluminum arrow than the 2216 Horton for a 300 fps bow?
i shoot same arrow.you can glue in 2020 SHAFT in 2216.
put your 2 inch blazers at 3 deg.

horton told me 400 is ok on bow if its 165 pds and under, 175 pd, go to 430..mine is 165 pds..

you can order PLUMB INSERT,which will bring your arrow up to 570 grs.and not have to put the 2020 inside the 2216..
they glue in like insert ..

Last night, I did determine my scope base was sticking in a bad position on recoil. I fixed that. Then I ran out of daylight before I could be sure the bow was hitting again.

Now, for some reason, the 125gr arrows are going through my targets! Really, they are penetrating up to the nock! Nuts! That makes the points stick through the other side of the block. This is with field points.

"other side of the block. This is with field points." Probably coincidence, there isn't that much diff in 25 gr.

I think the over penetration is the cold and the water on the arrows. I kept them dry tonight and they just went through up about an inch.

Well, I narrowed the wild shooting down to the scope base. I corrected this and it is fine now. 2 arrows within an inch at 40 yards. . .not bad for off hand.Tonight all results were as expected which is a huge change for the better. Now I will try the broadheads again.

Also, I've damaged some fletching. . .so I'm going to get stuff I need to repair. I'm thinking Jo Jan mono fletcher, but any idea what vanes to use? Blazer's or 4" plastic? Also, helical or offset? Wrap or no wrap? How hard is wrap to put on the arrow?

Only have experience w/ one fletcher, an Az-Ez for alum in rt hand helical. Need the alum model as carbon is for skinny diameter carbons where alum fits xbow diameter carbons. I'm happy.

Blazers and the Arizona Fletcher is probably the most popular used for xbows. I use Blazers but not the Arizona. Wraps are a bit of a pain but pretty. Most of the time when you need to replace one vane you have to replace the wrap.
