A Excal stringing aid will work just fine, they are adjustable for any CB. The way you bend the CB to put on a string with out it is something I have yet to do. I know there has to be something I am doing wrong when trying it, but have yet to see it. I feel like I am about to bust the CB or my gut when trying it. Have a DVD that shows a guy in his late forty's or early fifties doing it like is a toy, makes me mad every time I see him do it! Like smoke said, more info may help.

String aid works best on EXCALIBER. If your is compound, a bow press; or, the mecahnical cocking device can be made to work. Just make a couple of loops from strong thin rope, attach then to the limb ends then connect the hooks of the mechanical cocker to the loops. Take up enough slack to remove the bowstring, etc. You could do the same with a string cocker but would need someone to remove the bowstring while you hold the string cocker tight.
